THE BUSINESS
Paradise Freightways Ltd is a trucking company offering flat deck and super "B" service primarily in British Columbia and Alberta. We are currently hauling steel, lumber, industrial machinery, pipe, generators, industrial equipment and building products. We haul much more general flack deck freight throughout BC and Alberta. We also provide services to customers in the oilfield and mining industry.
We specialize in handling loads, which require some degree of specialization. For example, we are a primary shipper for West Fraser Mills handling their “J” grade timber shipments from BC & Alberta mills to the reloads and docks in Vancouver. We provide a wide range of transportation solutions to meet our customer's business requirements.
In two years of operation we are proud of the record of our drivers in having no accidents and no cargo damage claims. This has enabled us to become the forwarder of choice for West Fraser “J” grade timber where we enjoy almost 90% of the shipments.
As previously mentioned we have positioned ourselves as one of the primary forwarders with West Fraser timber particularly with specialty “J” grade timber loads. This ensures us a steady flow of loads from the interior of BC to docks at Vancouver. Added to this we enjoy return loads primarily of steel and gyproc from the lower mainland to the interior of BC and to Calgary and Edmonton, AB.
We also enjoy constant traffic from Alberta in farm machinery and heavy equipment along the Highway 16 corridor as far as the Terrace Smithers & Prince Rupert triangle. This results in trucks in the interior where they can re-load timber to the coast.
At the present time we have a variety of clients in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and the interior of BC, which account for our continued growth.
